Transformation at Petmin
Petmin management remains focused on transforming its operations and pays special attention to procurement, community development, enterprise development and employment equity, in particular the development of women.
The responsibilities of the former Transformation Committee have been incorporated into the terms of reference of the Social, Ethics and Transformation Committee and were approved by the Petmin Board in February 2013.
The Committee acts as the social conscience of the Company to ensure that it is a responsible corporate citizen. The Committee has terms of reference that comply with the Companies Act and King III Code of Corporate Governance and are approved by the Board.
The role of the Committee is to monitor, review and report on the performance of each of the Company‚Äôs activities related to:
- Social and economic development
- Corporate citizenship
- Safety, health and environment
- Labour and employment
- Governance of Ethics
- Legislative and regulatory compliance
